Portraits

Newborn session $275

In your home or on location.  A warm environment is a must as they may be undressed for some of the time.  I will provide a variety of background/prop options.  I love the details and will make the most of those precious little feet and hands.

Includes a private online gallery and $50 print/product credit.

Family portrait session: $475

Relax and enjoy each other’s company.  Overly posed, stiff photos don’t reflect your family.  I’m happy to capture your group as a whole and any combinations you’d like.  A combination of candid and group portraits are included.

Includes a private online gallery and $50 print/product credit.

Portrait Session FAQ’s:

How do we book a session?

Call, email or fill out information on connect page with the type of session that you are interested in, your child’s age and dates and times that work the best for your family.

Is a deposit required when booking a session?

Yes, a $100 non refundable deposit is required to reserve a session time.  This deposit will be applied to the session fee.  A session may be rescheduled one time per deposit due to illness or any

other non-photo-friendly occurrence. I’m a mom too, I understand how our schedules can shift around.

What locations are used for the photo sessions?

I will discuss options and your preferences with you when booking the session.  In general, photo sessions will be either at your home, my home or outdoor location.  For outdoor locations, once I know the time of day that works best for you, I can tailor the location options to fit.

What should we wear?

Solid colors without text or logos are best for adults.  Pull out your favorites for the kids, they will only fit in them for a short while.

Feel free to bring changes of clothing for both adults and kids.  If the location permits, we can take breaks for clothing changes.

What should we bring?

Water, snacks for kids and adults (no candy before the shoot, we’ll save that for after the shoot or if it’s really needed during), hair clips, favorite toys, blankets, costumes, wagon, etc.

What are the parents’ roles during the photo session?

Let me do the work.  I would like the opportunity to engage your child and build rapport.  If you remain relaxed, your children will as well.  You might get them to sit still with a threat, but

their expressions will most likely make it a lost photo opportunity.

What if my child(ren) just won’t cooperate?

The million dollar question.. As a mother of a busy boy, I understand the situation well.  My shooting style is relaxed to allow children to move around and play.  My goal is to capture a great photo of a moment in

their lives, the way we see them right now.  That doesn’t usually involve them sitting perfectly still looking at the camera with an angelic smile.  I tend to cherish the candid photos and feel much more

of a tug at my heart when viewing those than a more posed photo.   You can help the process by scheduling the shoot at a time that might be best for your child’s mood.

Work hard to get in that nap, lunch or snack before the shoot wo we have the best opportunity for great photos.  Breaks are sometimes

needed, which is perfectly fine.  Allow at least an hour for the a photo session.

How do we view the photos after the session?

Photos will be placed in a password protected online gallery for you to view and order prints and products. My goal in the future is to have personal consultations only for viewing the images.  Studio viewing allows me to

show you many options for creating a heirloom piece of art that can get overlooked with web only viewing.
